Children & Young People Services

This service offers support for children and young people who have experienced domestic abuse either within their home (between parents or carers) or within their own relationship if in their later teens.  Support can be offered to those living in Amber Valley or Erewash, aged between 6-18.

How can this service help?

A C&YP IDVA offers a confidential* space for children and young people to explore their experiences of domestic abuse. Sessions are age appropriate, client led, and based on individual needs and circumstances. We offer 10, 1-hour sessions which are usually hosted at school or Salcare (Heanor). Home sessions can be offered in situations when needed, but only if it is safe to do so.

*Sessions are always confidential unless a safeguarding concern is raised, in which case the relevant information will be shared with the appropriate person/people.
