Family isn’t a buzz word we use for marketing; it runs deep through Salcare’ ethos and the team are a family and engage every client, customer and service user in a positive friendly way, to give Salcare its family dynamic.
I’m Jacqui, and I’m the Director of Services here at Salcare. My job is to lead the charity, to sustain it’s work into the future and create an environment where people can thrive – be that those who use our services, volunteer with us, or work here. I have worked in many different charities across the UK, but none are like Salcare! We support & speak up on behalf of people who are otherwise invisible or unheard and that’s what I love about working here.
I’m ultimately responsible to our Board of Trustees who are committed to seeing our work continue and grow.
Although I have lived all over England & Wales, I was brought up near Ilkeston and have lived in Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire off and on for years. My family still live in the region; at home I have a dog called Fred, who sometimes joins me in the office; and I have a cat called Dotty (but she’s stays at home). I’m a painter, I love to dance, however badly (but that’s another story…)
