We are seeking a passionate and creative Art Therapist to join our team at Salcare, a well-established community charity based in Heanor, Amber Valley. You’ll work with children and young people who have experienced trauma, loss, or adversity, providing intensive therapeutic support that helps them heal and thrive.
About the Role:
- Job Title: Art Therapist – Children & Young People
- Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum (pro rata)
- Hours: Part-time (up to 3 days per week), with the potential to increase to full-time depending on future funding
- Contract: Permanent (subject to ongoing funding)
What We’re Looking For:
We welcome applications from trained Child & Adolescent Art Therapists, particularly those with:
- Experienced or recently qualified with some experience of working with children, young people, and their families.
- Registration with the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT) and the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC)
Key Skills & Attributes:
- Proven experience delivering art therapy to children and young people
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
- Attention to detail with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- A flexible, team-oriented approach and willingness to contribute to service development
